Amazing Trees

The last leaves hang on
In anticipation of winter flurries
The trees will hibernate in the howling wind
and freezing temperatures
Living in anticipation of spring and rebirth
So many things a tree has seen
Standing rooted deep in the earth
and rising up to the stars
Feeling the power of nature in its greatest moments
When we huddle inside
The tree stands in its earth grounded to mother nature
Waiting for the next season and the gradual rebirth
of leaves and fruit
Always the home to birds, squirrels and bugs
and sometimes home to forts and children's playhouses
Always protection for us from harsh sunlight and rains
The trees are here holding the earth together with roots so deep
So deep in the earth
Can you imagine what they have seen above and below
Let us pay homage to the trees
May we protect them for generations to come

Crystal Meditations

I have been placing a couple of crystals by this tree by the Seine River. I leave them for a week.
This tree I've picked for its meditative qualities. It receives lots of sunlight, moonlight and
and starlight that will energize the crystals and by leaving them there I will also receive
crystal energy from them. I find crystals very helpful while meditating. They help with
keeping positive energy and happy thoughts. As I am daydreaming I can imagine what these crystals
by this beautiful tree by the river are seeing and feeling.
Happy meditating.

A painting I did awhile ago and an image of a Monarch butterfly from the summer.
Some warm images for this cold October day while snow is trying to fly. May you bask in the  warmth of these images and reflect on the beauty of nature and our surroundings.

Mother Dear and Baby

Mother nature is wonderful. This mother deer and her two babies came into my
yard the other day. The mother was eating bird seed and the baby was drinking milk
I am so lucky to be able to look out my window and see these wonders of nature.
I hope these urban deer can be protected as we infringe on their habitat.

Number one post

Good Morning. Welcome to my new blog Nature Meditations.
I will post a nature photo each day and you will be able to share with me the wonders of nature I find very close to my home. The world is filled to capacity with so much electronics and power consumed gadgets so it is nice to be able to find a serene corner of the world to escape to and meditate in the calmness of nature.
I welcome you to my sight here in cyber space. Which is a part of this highly electronic based society but is an integral way for millions of people to stay in tune with the globe.
and the peaceful places we carve out a section of peace and serenity.
